Roger L. Getz, Branson West, MO, son of Gerald and Della (Bailey) Getz, was born October 2, 1949 in Bonne Terre, MO and departed this life on January 9, 2021 at the age of 71.

Roger had lived in the area for thirteen years, moving here from Springfield, MO.  Roger had worked in education during his working career.  He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City, MO and the Kimberling City Elks.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond Getz and Larry Getz; mother-in-law, Betty Meyer and brother-in-law, Donald Meyer.

Roger is survived by his wife, Connie Getz of Branson West, MO; brother, Ricky Getz of Farmington, MO; father-in-law, Harlan Meyer; sisters-in-law, Everyl Getz, Shirley Getz and Becky Meyer; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends as well as the students from his many years of teaching.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City, MO with Reverend Rich Futrell officiating.  Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, MO.
