Roy Downen, age 73, of Branson West, went to be with his Savior and his wife, Sandra, on June 18, 2026, at Cox Hospital in Branson, MO.

He was born on April 20, 1953, in Winfield, KS to Roy Arthur and Margie Fern Parker Downen.

Roy worked in aircraft assembly for Spirit Aerosystems, until he retired. In his retirement Roy was a faithful member of New Testament Christian Church in Reeds Spring, MO.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Roy and Margie, his wife Sandra K Downen, and his sister Cleta Howe and her husband Maurice “Chief.”

Roy is survived by his two daughters Tammy Downen of Andover, KS; Michelle Kelley of Winfield, KS; one nephew Rodney Mann and wife Barri; six grandchildren, Kayliana, Kasyn, Colton, Jacob, Garrett, and Shelby; and twelve great grandchildren; and his loyal cat, J.J.

His family would like to say a special thank you to the friends that lived close and helped to take care of Roy in his recent years. Donna Klick, Randy Sisk, and Nancy Snyder.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Testament Christian Church in Reeds Spring, MO on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.

Cremation under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
