Shirley Tichenor, Galena, MO, daughter of Hobert and Alma (Puett) Evans, was born on February 1, 1935, in Galena, MO and departed this life on February 7, 2026, at the age of 91.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Church of Christ, Cape Fair, MO. She loved her flowers and vegetable garden. Shirley also had a love for travel that included making 9 trips to Alaska with Bud.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Alma Evans; husband, Bud Tichenor and brother, Larry Evans.

Survivors include: her son Mike Tichenor and his wife, Cathy; daughter, Deborah Lee Newburn and her husband, David; sister, Beverly Sheppard and her husband, Don; two grandchildren; four great granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO with Johnny Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
