Sterling Dean Hadley, Mt. Vernon, MO, son of Sterling Gilmore and Zella (Wade) Hadley, was born December 16, 1942, at Nebraska City, NE, and departed this life on March 30, 2024 at the age of 81.

Dean was united in marriage to Georgia "Jo" Bender.

He worked as an over the road truck driver and propane delivery driver for MFA, before his retirement.

Dean moved to the area in 1993 from California.  Membership was held in the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Kimberling City, MO, and the Elks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Zella Hadley, two sons, Sterling Dean Hadley Jr, and Donald Ray Hadley and one brother, Charles Hadley.

Dean is survived by his wife, Jo Hadley of Mt. Vernon, MO, one son, Richard Hadley and his wife, Brandi of Susanville, CA, one stepson, David Leamer and Dusty DeGeorge of Orangeville, CA, one brother, Everett Hadley of Clever, MO, two sisters, Beverly Boyd and her husband, Alan of Moore, OK, and Janice Bowman and her husband, Jack of Aurora, MO, and five grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Cremation is under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO.
