Obituary

Theron Wendell Peck Jr., passed from this life at 9:04 a.m., September 4, 2024, and he danced into the arms of Jesus.  He was born on February 9, 1944, to Theron W. Peck Sr., and V. Alice Harrison Peck in Quincy, MA.  "Ted" married Bonnie s. Lindquist in Randolph, VT on September 19, 1964.  Their union produced two amazing sons, Theron W. Peck III and Jonathan I. Peck.  His second marriage to Melanie A. Lloyd Daly was on December 2, 1988.

Ted had an intense passion for hiking and being outdoors.  He was proud of his accomplishment being a member of the 4000 footer club, having climbed to the summit of all the peaks in New Hampshire at an elevation of 4000 feet or above.  Ted was a proud member of the Sons of Revolution and is a direct descendant of Nehemiah Stratton who served as a member of President George Washington's personal Life Guard.  He was also honored to be a member of the NRA and a long standing member of The Mount Washington Observatory.

His career included apprenticeship as a butcher under is Dad, success in sales of insurance for Metropolitan Life, New Products Manager for a nationwide catalog company and starting his own catalog business selling dog gift items which is still thriving today under the ownership of his son, Jon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theron Sr. and Alice and his sister, Brenda Peck Therlault Palmer.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie, sons and their spouses, Theron and Cindy Peck, Jonathan and Andrea Peck, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

While Ted was brought to his lowest point through his divorce from Bonnie, that tragedy gave him the biggest blessing, the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, thus assuring him of his eternal home in Heaven.

A celebration of Ted's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Hope Fellowship in Branson West.  The service will be live streamed on facebook.com/hfcbranson.  Cremation is under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
