Troy Donovan
Wright
Feb 8, 1972 — Jan 26, 2024
Gypsum
Troy Donovan Wright was born on February 8, 1972 in Lincoln NE. He was the third child of Dave and Sue Wright. He went to his Heavenly home on January 26, 2024.
Troy attended elementary through high school in Lincoln NE. He attended Pine Ridge technical school where he learned the masonry craft. Through on the job training he learned other building crafts. This led to a life time of building and refurbishing homes and business properties.
Troy had a strong faith and connection to the outdoors living mostly in areas where you could enjoy outdoor activities. Along with being a certified white water rafting guide, he loved to ski, fish, hunt, golf, travel and attend concerts and parties. He was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
His siblings cherish many memories about their brother. He would always go out of his way to help his friends and family and would do anything for anyone. He loved life, embracing and taking advantage of all good things, he always had a smile on his face, even better, he loved making a face for the camera. He loved his nieces and nephews, everything from texting on their birthdays and special occasions to taking Scott and his family rafting. They said he was the "fun" uncle. He loved to share his knowledge and experiences of the outdoors and always had a funny joke or story to share with that knowledge. Mostly Troy accepted everyone for who they were and always supported his siblings, building a lasting relationship with them and their children.
One of Troy's greatest joys was connecting with his daughter and being a grandpa. He enjoyed getting to spend time with them and sharing his family with his parents.
Troy leaves behind his daughter Alissa (Denis) Guba and grandchildren Gabriel, Collette, Elliott and Nadia, parents Sue and Dave Wright, sister Kim (Jay) Tussing and children James, Chris and Anna; brother Scott (Lisa) Wright and children Isabelle, Zane and Flynn. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, hundreds of friends and his beloved dog Otis.
A memorial service will be pending for late spring to early summer. Cremation is under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
