Victor George
Tinnes Jr.
Jun 3, 1939 — Sep 29, 2026
Branson West
Tim Tinnes
June 3, 1939 – September 29, 2026
Victor George Tinnes Jr., age 87, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, in Forsyth, Missouri.
Tim was born June 3, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, to Victor Tinnes Sr. and Esther (Plantine) Tinnes. Born premature at birth, he went home in a shoebox and was given the nickname “Tiny Tim,” a name that stayed with him throughout his life.
He was raised in Chicago, where he met his wife Deanna “Dee” Klein. Tim and Dee were married on November 13, 1963, and shared nearly 63 years of marriage together.
Tim joined the United States Army in 1963, serving as both a cook and sharpshooter until 1965. Following his military service, he was never afraid of a hard day’s work. Over the years, he was a butcher, a carpet layer, and helped his family at Tinnes Construction.
After discovering Table Rock Lake and spending several years vacationing there, Tim and Dee knew they had found a place they wanted to call home. In 1977, they made the move permanent and purchased Fisherman’s Luck Resort in Kimberling City, Missouri. What he called their “Labor of Love” became a major part of their lives. Together, they owned and operated the resort for over 20 years before retiring.
Tim loved life on Table Rock Lake and spent as much time on the water as he could, always welcoming family and friends to join him throughout the year. He had a passion for boating, water-skiing and fishing, but what he treasured most was the time spent with Dee, his older brothers, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Table Rock Lake wasn’t simply where Tim lived—it was where he built a life filled with quality time with family and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Esther Tinnes, and his three brothers, Warren, Donald, and Harold Tinnes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dee; his three children, James (Maureen) Tinnes, Michael (Jeanette) Tinnes, and Julie (Dennis) Hinkle; his seven grandchildren, Krystle Carbone, Dawn Robinson, Brandon Bundy, Austin Tinnes, Ryan Tinnes, Tristan Eby, and Sydney Eby; and his 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date.
Those wishing to honor Tim’s memory may make a donation to Unite Table Rock Lake.
Cremation is under the care of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
