William J. Heinzl, Reeds Spring, MO, son of William and Vicki (Schuh) Heinzl, was born July 23, 1944, at St. Louis, MO, and departed this life on March 15, 2024, at the age of 79.

William moved to the area over 40 years ago from St. Louis, MO.

On November 27, 1992, he was united in marriage to Sharon B. Woods (nee Semler).

William worked as a deputy with the Stone County Sheriff's Department for ten years; followed by 18 years as a special investigator for the State of Missouri before his retirement.  He was well respected by all his peers and fellow officers.

William was a lifetime member of the NRA.

He enjoyed target shooting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Vicki Heinzl; as well as a sister, Mary Ann.

William is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sharon Heinzl of Reeds Spring, MO, 2 daughters, Christina Peevy of Clever, MO, and Ann Gilman of Galena, MO; 4 grandchildren, Isabella Harig, Christian Harig, Danielle Stubblefield and Joshua DuBois and 2 great-grandchildren, Christian Wade Harig and Paislynn Grace Stubblefield.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cremation is under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
