It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Zane Michael Staugaard, of Cape Fair on July 14, 2021, at the age of 41.

Zane will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 15 years, Sarah (Plumlee) Staugaard; children: Austin Michael Staugaard (Mackenzie) and Jameso Michael Staugaard; brothers: Ron (Greg), David (Melissa), and Andrew (Jill); and parents: Andrew C Staugaard and Janet (Benefiel) Staugaard.

He will be dearly missed by so many youth in the community and the semi pro team that he was able to inspire through his fun loving spirit and love of coaching.

Zane was a graduating 13 year senior of Reeds Spring School District, and he remained in this community throughout his life. From the time he was old enough to coach, until his final days, he never stopped coaching. He coached various youth sports and semi pro football. He was honored to coach his son, Austin, in the Mighty Mites program and took his team to the super bowl every year and finally brought home the "W" as Super Bowl champs in 6th grade! He was overjoyed when he got the honor of coaching Austin again in his semi pro league!

His greatest accomplishment was not football, but it was the many lives that he impacted along the way. It is overwhelming to hear the stories of so many who felt Zane's positive spirit. He was there when needed and had a connection that is beyond words.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM, on Thursday July 22 (Zane and sons' jersey#), at New Testament Christian Church Reeds Spring, MO.  Services will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Steven Gann officiating.

A private service will be held at the family's request on Friday 23.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Reeds Spring Mighty Mites Program.
